We just got back from our Young Life weekend retreat at Deer Creek, and it was a great time. As I get older and older, it’s interesting to see the styles of the leaders as they seem to me younger and younger. It seems that winning the right to be heard may go a bit to far as I see leaders wearing Happy Bunny, a Corona bikini, or other odd clothes. It seems we need good teaching on modesty again.
Overall though, the weekend was great. It’s always good to see brothers and sisters in the faith who are working and striving for the same goal as you, to bring lost students to the throne of God. To have 600 people in one room, united in the same mission is a powerful thing. I lost a lot of sleep on the weekend, but I have come home feeling refreshed in the Word and in fellowship.
