Regrets from the Beach

I was at the beach a few weeks ago for Labor Day, and it was a wonderful vacation.  The sad part is that my body has not yet recovered from it.  It wasn’t the ocean.  It was at Indiana Dunes St Park, and so we were playing at Lake Michigan.  The reason this is important is that there was a steep drop off from the beach to the water, and it was really rocky.  Ever since I’ve left that trip, I wake up in the morning with soreness.  So, I’ve been looking online for heel bone spur treatment.

I’m hoping it doesn’t get out of control.  I’ve found that stretching it by pulling back the big toe and then massaging the plantar fascii helps, but it doesn’t seem to be healing yet.  I know some people who have suffered from similar injuries for years.  They have tried inserts and and all kinds of treatments.  They have even had to remodel their bathroom with a walk in bathtub and shower because of the pain.  I certainly hope mine doesn’t come to that.

Party

My friend, who thinks he is a pirate, just had a pirate birthday party.  It was so much fun!  He had it all decked out right including the tunes and everything.  We watched movies, ate great food, and just laughed a lot.  He even sent us cool pirate invitations.

I was trying to figure out what gift to give him, and I ended up getting him some aquarium decorations.  As a wannabe pirate, he loves his aquarium and any additions he can make to it.  Needless to say, he was very pleased about the gift.

So many people now are having themed parties, which I think are just thoughtful and way more fun.  It’s different than what you’re used to and much more enjoyable.  By the way, Sep 19 is national talk like a pirate day, so be awarrrree.

Costume Creations

Halloween is right around the corner, and it’s time to start thinking about costumes.  This year, there’s no doubt, I’m going as a pirate.  So, I’ve been online shopping for great items like pirate guns and pirate swords.  I mean, come on, I need to be prepared if I’m attacked.

I think there are going to be some great costumes this year.  With the Transformers movie out, you have to check out these creative guys and their costumes.

While I was online, I also picked up some makeup that I needed.  Well, I can’t wait to put all of this together.  I have boots, a leather hat and coat, and now sword and gun.  Arggghh!
