Birthdays!

So, my 25th birthday is coming up quickly, and I’m not sure what I should do about it.  I certainly don’t expect that my friends are responsible to plan something for me (although that would be a nice surprise!)  and it’s not fair to think that my roommate is responsible for a party.  And yet, it’s a little awkward to throw yourself a party sometimes-gone are the days where you could go buy some cars birthday party supplies, hand out some party favors, and call it a success.  No more winnie the pooh themes, or expecting that people will bring you presents!  Nowadays I just hope someone remembers to call me or offers to take me out to dinner!  And yet, I admit that holidays and birthdays are really important to me.  I kind of miss the silly party games and cake and ice cream and singing that birthdays offered!

Too many women in one room

I will never understand the attraction of wedding or baby showers. They sound terrible! Now, I’ve only witnessed 2 in real-life, but I know enough from those that I don’t want to have to be around for any more of them! Whenever I get invited to any showers, I immediately R.S.V.P. that I cannot come, and send a gift in lieu. This time I sent winnie the pooh bedding for the little tike. One of the other times that I went to a shower to appease the masses, I witnessed a huge car accident, and almost got killed myself. Far cry

Well, I’m admittedly about as far as you can be from needing a destination wedding photographer, but my friends were looking up honeymoon spots the other day online, and it made me wish I was going to an island! They were looking at all these Sandals resort spots, and I couldn’t believe how nice they were!  I honestly didn’t even know that resorts just for couples even exist!  Must be nice! I’d better start doing more than just coin collecting in my little piggy bank if I ever want to go to one of those places!
