This coming weekend I’m throwing a surprise party for a friend of mine who is really into Nascar stuff. Now, I on the other hand, know nothing about Nascar, and don’t like it at all…so we are mixing it up a little, and hoping he’ll laugh when he walks into a Disney Cars themed party instead
Now, if only I had the money to buy this costume to go along with it, I would laugh my head off.
Oh yeah, and I’m being dragged along to some awful 80’s dance party on Friday night. Do I seem like the type of person that would enjoy that?? No. I hate 80’s music, and I hate dancing.

So, there are these new condominiums in Cincinnati for sale, and I dont’ even care! I guess I’m just totally stoked about the fact that our apartment is getting revamped while I’m away at work today. We are having all the curbs on our street (which were previously falling apart and crumbling to the ground) redone, and the sidewalk widened. And, we are having the whole building we live in repainted. It has been half primed for the few months that we have lived there, and it’s about time! They are doing it in old historical colors, and I will have nothing to be ashamed of when people come over. Well…except for that crazy guy who always has a few too many to drink that stands on the corner all day.

I’ve always wondered what it would be like to be in the little world of being a military kid. Moving from country to country, living on the army base, which is like a little America within each foreign country. I think it would be really neat, learning a bit of each language, and learning new stuff from each culture. My friend is a chaplain’s son, and his mom and dad have been in Italy for his whole college career. Then this year his dad got a dangerous assignment in Djibooti, Africa (I looked for photos of this place online and couldn’t even find any!) His mom can’t even go there, so they will be separated for an entire year. His mom doesn’t even speak Italian! I think that would be so hard!

I have a new vice-Korean Ginseng Candy. I love this stuff, and plus it’s good for me! Finally-a habit that I don’t mind forming
Anyways-life has been super busy lately, and I am pretty overwhelmed at work this week. I have a really stupid meeting tonight. It’s SO far away, and I know that I don’t really need to be there. And yet, I’ll be in bad graces with everyone if I don’t go. I hate stupid obligations like that. I wouldn’t mind going if they’d offer some of this though! Ha
They need to learn how to make people want to go to their meetings!

I’m not really into hats…I’ve never particularly understood them. If I wear one in the summer, I can’t really see out from undeneath the bill of the hat, and it makes me feel dizzy. But, if I wear one in the winter, my hair looks like I just climbed out of the dryer. And yet, if you don’t…you freeze to death! I hate it. So anyways, I’m not into hats. But, I AM into free stuff that people give away to market their products.

Apparently the stores feel like Halloween is fast approaching, and they are already stocking the shelves with candy and light up skulls. STUPID. I said to my mom yesterday…”who buys candy this early?” She said in all of her wisdom “People who plan on stocking up, eating it themselves, and then stocking up again.” I think she’s right. Anyways, I have never gone trick or treating in my life. I do love dressing up in costume though, I just have no desire to dress up as something creepy! I like happy costumes, funny costumes, or witty costumes!

So, I have been watching a lot of that classic, but short lived sitcom of “Freaks and Geeks” and I can’t help but see myself in some of the geeky kids. Part of the good old days was an obsession with super heroes of all kinds, including bedrooms full of Spiderman wallpaper, bedding, action figures, and all the other stuff I could get my sticky hands on. I was always going back and forth between Batman, Spiderman, and Superman….who do you think would win…?

I may be a pencil-necked geek, but that doesn’t mean I don’t at least attept to take care of myself! Lately I’ve been finding myself drinking Korean Ginseng Tea, and loving every minute of it. My stomache always feels so icky after drinking a large amount of coffee or a Coke or something, and man, I just feel great after a cup of warm tea! There’s something really comforting about nursing a cup of tea all afternoon as I work on the computer.
